Almost 200 years of history is impossible to absorb in one visit. Here you will find the Oak Alley story continued…explore it before your visit or stay in touch after you leave. Use the Slavery Database to better understand how human bondage played a role in Oak Alley as a sugar plantation or read articles by our interpretive staff on a variety of topics.
Oak Alley will remain closed until we complete the process of cleanup from Hurricane Ida . The plantaton grounds has extensive vegetative debris from the storm but the buildings and alley are secure. We appreciate your messages of support during this difficult time for the entire SE Louisiana region. We will update our website when we have more information on re-opening.
Our phone system is also currently down so please email us at ContactUs@OakAlleyPlantation.org for information or questions on advanced reservations.
The online ticket portal is temporarily closed until we can determine when we will be able to re-open.
